![]() ![]() Some species have female diamonds, but while respawn chance and kill ratio are not the same, as indicated above, and I do a limited preselection, too, we could assume that in my case the chance of getting a male diamond is 1 to 1.5% so 1 in 100 to 1 in 66. If you do some exploring, you are more likely to notice an albino than another rare or most diamonds. My rares are mostly albinos, probably not only because they seem to be more common according to that list, but because they stick out more. With my playing style (single player, some exploring, some tracking, some grinding, shooting both male and female), I had a pretty consistent diamond ratio of 0.5% so far and a rare ratio of about 0.3% (the latter not checked repeatedly). The two numbers will get closer as the ignored animals mostly remain unchanged, but it's a factor to consider. Independent of the exact respawn mechanism or chance, you are only shooting 1 for every 2 or 3 animals you see (maybe more if you mainly hunt herds) and maybe even concentrate on the bigger ones. ![]() ![]() If you only shoot males, you are doing a preselection.
